Introduction

Cadence ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Cadence mobile application.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in to Cadence, we collect:

Calendar Data

When you use Cadence, the following data is stored in our cloud database (Google Firebase Firestore):

Device Information

We may collect device tokens for the purpose of sending push notifications. We do not collect device identifiers for advertising or tracking purposes.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Third-Party Services

Google Firebase

We use Google Firebase for authentication, data storage, and cloud messaging. Firebase may collect certain technical data as described in the Firebase Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat processes purchase-related data as described in the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

PostHog

We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how features are used and improve the app. PostHog collects anonymous usage events and is not linked to your identity. No advertising identifiers are collected. See the PostHog Privacy Policy.

Advertising

Cadence does not display advertisements and does not share your data with advertising networks.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your calendar data is shared with all members of the same calendar (including owners, editors, and viewers), as intended by the app's shared calendar functionality. Note content is only accessible to owners and editors.

Data Storage and Security

How to Delete Your Data

Delete Your Calendar

If you are the creator of a calendar, you can delete it from Settings within the app. This permanently removes all events, notes, and membership data associated with that calendar.

Leave a Calendar

If you are a member (not the creator), you can leave a calendar from Settings. Your membership will be removed, but the calendar and its data will remain for the other member.

Delete Your Account

You can delete your account directly in the app by going to Settings and tapping "Delete Account." This permanently removes your user profile, deletes all calendars you own (including their events, notes, and member access), and removes you from any calendars you joined. Your Firebase Authentication account is also deleted. This action cannot be undone.

Delete the App

Uninstalling Cadence removes all locally cached data from your device. To ensure your cloud data is also removed, please delete your account from Settings before uninstalling. You may also contact us at zwkdevvv@gmail.com for assistance.

Children's Privacy

Cadence is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
